Our Story
The Gypsy Stringz has seen many amazing musicians come and go throughout the years. We got our humble beginnings at the Gypsy Cafe, formerly located in the Southside of Pittsburgh, PA. From there, George Batyi continues to create music with some of the finest musicians.
Our sound draws from the rich tradition of Romani and Gypsy string music — passionate melodies, driving rhythms, and the kind of energy that gets people on their feet. Whether it's an intimate dinner or a full-blown celebration, we bring the fire.
